So, the much-awaited finale of "Dancing with the Stars" Season 22 is over and we have a winner.

Viewers' favorite Nyle DiMarco took away the Mirrorball trophy along with partner Peta Murgatroyd. And it has to be said this was one victory on the dance reality show that everyone cherished as much as the winner.

The deaf model and winner of "America's Next Top Model", Nyle had grabbed everyone's attention and admiration right from the day he gave his first performance. And as the season progressed, we saw him improving and impressing us with stellar dancing presentations. What is more, we shed tears as he rocked on stage.

Of course, he had the sympathy votes in his favor, but his talent and hard work overshadowed everything. He was, in every right, a strong contender and deserved to win the trophy as much as the two finalists.

So, heartiest congratulations to Nyle and Peta. As for Paige and Ginger, they also gave their best and were quite the finalists the viewers look forward to seeing. Paige VanZant-Mark Ballas ended up as the first runner up while Ginger Zee-Val Chmerkovskiy were placed second.

The finale was a treat as every contender seemed prepared for the toughest night, but only Nyle and Paige could bag the perfect scores. Ginger had to be content with a 27. Paige and Mark did their jive and Salsa while Nyle and Peta entertained with cha cha and tango.

Ginger and Val went for the foxtrot and Argentine tango. Other contestants of the season also made their appearances and regaled the audience. Most chose to repeat their best performances of the season and it was really awesome.

The names include Antonio and Sharna's Aladdin dance, Wanya and Lindsay's Charleston and more. The special guests also joined the contestants. Fifth Harmony, Pitbull, Fleur East, Aloe Blacc and Dan & Shay made the night more entertaining with their performances.

Still, everything paled in comparison to the moment when the winner was announced. Nyle nailed it ultimately and it could not get more awesome than this.
