Pending release of autopsy report of Prince, his death is turning mysterious. New reports claim the singer died at least six hours before his body was found at his Minnesota home.

When the body was found on the morning of April 21, Andrew Kornfield, and the singer's manager Kirk Johnson had dialed 911. Based on information shared by paramedics who attended the call, the singer reportedly died hours before. Following his death, reports emerged that Prince was prescribed pain medication and an overdose could have killed him. Opiod medication was reportedly found on the body.

An autopsy was performed on the singer's body but results have not been released. However, rumors that the singer was abusing pain-killer opiod medication are doing rounds given that the singer's camp contacted Dr. Howard Kornfiled, Andrew Kornfield's father, a California-based pain medication expert. Andrew Kornfield had reportedly arrived at Prince's estate to devise a treatment plan for the singer.

During the investigation, police found buprenorphine, an anti-addiction medication in Andrew Kornfield's backpack. Kornfield's attorney has maintained that the younger Kornfield, who is not a doctor, did not administer medication but what he was carrying was meant for another local doctor.

According to sources quoted in previous reports, Prince suffered from pain following hip injuries during performance. He was put on medication following surgery. However, those who knew him said the star was a disciplinarian and he was not hooked to medication. Questions about the late singer's addiction were raised even before his death Prince's plane made an emergency landing in Illinois just a week before his death. The 57-year-old singer was reportedly unresponsive then from what many suspect may have been an instance of drug overdose.
