While many fans have no idea how "Game of Thrones" will ultimately end, there are a few who are spot on about how the series will close out. George R.R. Martin - creator of "A Song of Fire and Ice", the book series on which "Game of Thrones" is based - confirmed that he's seen correct theories on GoT message boards. In fact, judging from his recent comments about the issue, it seems as if he meant for at least some fans to figure out the series ending.

"So many readers were reading the books with so much attention that they were throwing up some theories and while some of those theories were amusing bulls -- and creative, some of the theories are right," explains Martin in an interview with The Telegraph.

More importantly he adds: "At least one or two readers had put together the extremely subtle and obscure clues that I'd planted in the books and came to the right solution."

That's right fans, Martin has been leaving hints for you to find. So that begs the question, do you think you can figure out how "Game of Thrones" will end? Do you even want to?

As it turns out, while Martin has pondered changing his plans for the ending to try and surprise all his fans (even the ones who've discovered the end), he's "just going to go ahead" with his original direction.

Per The Telegraph, Martin still has to complete two more books in the series which already has five books. This has caused many to believe that "Game of Thrones" will only go as far as seven seasons. HBO recently renewed GoT for Seasons 5 and 6.

In other GoT news, we will be meeting a handful of new characters next season. Among those characters are many family members of the late Oberyn Martell (Pedro Pescal). For more on the family members and the other characters debuting in Season 5 click here.

"Game of Thrones" returns in 2015 on HBO.
