Kpop News: Girls Generation’s Taeyeon to hold a solo concert

SM Entertainment affirmed the first solo concert of Girls Generation member Taeyeon. On May 12, a representative of SM Entertainment confirmed the said event. The concert will be happening in July and August.

For the upcoming month of July, Taeyeon is scheduled to have a concert at the Seoul Olympic Hall and the next concert will be in Busan for the month of August. The Busan concert will take place at the Busan KBS hall.

Basically, the concert was entitled "Taeyeon, Butterly Kiss," that was scheduled last April. However, one month before the concert, SM Entertainment released a statement regarding delays for the concert in order to prepare for a perfect performance.

Kim Taeyeon, popularly known as her actual name Taeyeon, she debuted in 2007 as a member of South Korean girl group Girls Generation or SNSD under the label of SM Entertainment. She is also the leader of the group. She has recorded singles for various television dramas and movies as well as participated in a number of variety shows. Taeyeon made her solo debut on October 8, 2015, with her first extended play, "I".

Since debuting as a member of Girls' Generation, Taeyeon has received numerous nominations and awards for her solo activities in original soundtracks, radio show hosting, and musical theatre. Following her debut as a solo artist, she won Best Female Artist at the 17th Mnet Asian Music Awards, as well as the Bonsang awards at the 25th Seoul Music Awards and the 30th Golden Disc Awards in 2016.
