Kpop News: BTS’s Jungkook to continue the promotions after misdiagnosis [UPDATE]

On May 11, Big Hit Entertainment announced the absence of Jungkook for the upcoming promotions for their album due to high fever and flu. But after the second round of medical checkup later that night, the first diagnosis found out to be erroneous. It was revealed that Jungkook is experiencing an initial symptom of tonsillitis.

So, On May 12, Big Hit Entertainment relayed another announcement thru their official Twitter account regarding the current condition of the idol.

The agency stated, "Hello, this is Big Hit Entertainment. Yesterday, May 11, Jungkook first examined at an otolaryngology (ENT) [eyes, nose and troat] clinic, and with the use of a kit, he was diagnosed with the flu. Later that night, he was taken for a second examination at a university hospital for a more precise and accurate findings and treatment; it was later found that the diagnosis of the first examination was erroneous. The high fever was found to be an initial symptom showing the first stages of tonsillitis. As of now, Jungkook has regained his normal health condition after taking rest and receiving treatment from a medical specialist.

Big Hit added, "Therefore, we would like to inform everyone that Jungkook will join with other members in all scheduled promotions on music shows and fan signing events for the BTS special album starting May 12. We would like to sincerely thank all the fans who wished for the fast recovery of Jungkook." (Transcribed by @bangtanitl)

BTS will have their promotions "Comeback Stage" on May 12 on Mnet Countdown, May 13 on KBS Music Bank, May 14 on MBS Music Core and May 15 on SBS Inkigayo. Fan sign events are also set to be proceeding.
