Resident Evil 7 News and Update: Capcom Likely to Release More Game Details at E3 2016

When Capcom launched a spin-off game, "Umbrella Corps," in this fiscal year, it also revealed plans about the "Resident Evil" series. Many fans speculated that perhaps the seventh installment of the RE series might just be in the making.

Rumor has it that "Resident Evil 7" will most likely be announced at Electronic Entertainment Expo this year. However, Capcom has not given any official statement about the sequels being announced at the event. Still fans are hopeful that E3 2016 is when they will have some news about the speculated "Resident Evil 7."

Meanwhile, there is also rumors doing rounds regarding the release date of the game on Xbox One and PlayStation 4 consoles. It is rumored that the game may be released sometime in 2016, while there are others who believe that the game will not be released before March, 2017. Capcom is reportedly paving way for the new Resident Evil installment with spin-off "Umbrella Corps.

For now, the game publisher is busy with promotion of "Umbrella Corps" for PC and PS4, as well as the HD remastered version of "Resident Evil 4," "Resident Evil 5" and "Resident Evil 6," for Xbox One and PS4 consoles. Additionally, Capcom is also working on the remake of "Resident Evil 2" for for the fourth generation consoles and PC as well.

So far, all these rumors are to be taken with a pinch of salt as no official statement has been released by Capcom. But from the looks of it, "Resident Evil 7" is speculated to launch before March 2017 for Xbox One and PS4.
