Vince McMahon's daughter Stephanie McMahon, in cohorts, her husband Triple H, has been involved in a bitter battle for control of WWE Raw with his son Shane McMahon and the WWE chairman has finally put the matter to rest by announcing his decision in relation to the control of WWE's flagship show. Stephanie McMahon had confronted at WWE Raw the previous week and stated that their father would reach a decision on the future of the show at WWE Payback. She seemed sure that she would be handed the control of the show and most people thought on the same lines since Shane McMahon has also had a running feud with his father ever since he returned to the WWE.

However, Vince McMahon suprised everybody with his decision when he announced at WWE Payback that he would be playing the long game and would not give outright control to either of his two children. In a move that would make any career diplomat proud, the billionaire owner of the WWE wanted his children to share the responsibilities of running WWE Raw and although it is true that both Shane and Stephanie presented their case with great gusto, the chairman was not convinced that they were capable of taking care of the show on their own.

Prior to this announcement, it was Shane McMahon who was in charge of WWE Raw but he had been put in charge of the show by his father out of spite since he thought he would fail miserably at the job and end up making a fool of himself. Consequently, Stephanie McMahon, better knwon as 'The Authority' is a hated figure among fans and had been left fuming after losing control. In such a highly charge situation, it is indeed a very wise move on the part of Mr. McMahon to make it 'a collaborative effort' since it might eventually bring about peace between the feuding parties. However, knowing how they operate, this might not be the end of the whole thing after all and the next few weeks of WWE Raw could turn out to be very interesting indeed.
