The current season of ABC's medical drama "Grey's Anatomy" has been tough on couples with some developing fissures in their relationship while some deciding to call it quits.

The recently aired episode "You're Gonna Need Someone on Your Side" exposed these very fissures and also brought forward a battle. Callie and Arizona, the long-time feuding couple who seemed to be in patch up mood, are now prepared to fight it out in the court to get the custody of their daughter Sophia.

They were seen meeting the doctors at Grey Sloan to get them on their side. Callie managed to find support from Own and Meredith but Arizona did not have much success. Dr. Alex refused to take sides with either.

On the other hand, Ben and Bailey are going through their personal struggle. In this episode, he is seen sleeping on the couch. Later, the couple move into the surgery room where they get into an argument, embarrassing other surgeons. However, good sense prevails ultimately and they realize that they might have differences but they love each and will find a way to sort out things.

The third couple to go through some drama was Dr. Stephanie and patient Kyle. Their relationship did progress in the episode but it also became complicated. Stephanie is kicked off from his case by Amelia and she is told that she cannot take the case further as they are dating.

However, when Kyle is told by Amelia that he would require another surgery, he turns to Stephanie instead of Amelia for advice, which creates tension in the room. Stephanie tries her best to proceed with the surgery but Amelia demands her to leave and rest in the waiting room.

During the surgery, Stephanie becomes conscious when she realizes that everyone thinks of her to be Kyle's girlfriend. She decided to break up with him and when he is asleep, leaves him with a letter, before planting a kiss on his cheek.
