The TV series based on DC comic character is yet to receive its renewal for the second season. However, according to the speculation, fans can expect to see Kara again as her story is far from over. As the show ended, it revealed another pod, similar to what Kara used when she arrived on Earth, crashing near National City. As she opened the pod, her stunned looks were enough to say that the next season is in the offing.

As there has been no official announcement about the show's second season, fans can depend on executive producer Andrew Kreisberg's statement about Supergirl's upcoming adventures.

"I don't want to give too much away, but it'll be cool. The fans are going to be excited. It's going to definitely shake things up for season 2," Kreisberg told Entertainment Weekly when asked about the unknown subject inside the mysterious pod.

According to many fan theories, whoever it is in the pod has something to do with Project Cadmus. Kreisberg has already confirmed that season 2 will be a lot about experimentation facility.

The show writer, who has also worked on "Simpsons" in the past talks about Kara and her acceptance of who she is. From the looks of it, Supergirl is quite restful in her present role and is also comfortable with her new powers. She is also well aware of the responsibility that comes along with it. So much so, she is even willing to risk her life in order to save the world.

"This whole season has been about her embracing being Supergirl. In a way, this was her graduation episode. She hadn't fully figured out how to integrate being Supergirl into her life. This whole season has been a learning experience for her. At the end of this episode, she's fully Supergirl," the producer explained.
