YouTube has quietly released an animated GIF-making tool that let's you create looping clips. Simply provide the start time and end time and voila, looping clip is ready. To make it more like 'meme' you can also add top and bottom text.

GIF creator in YouTube can be accessed via Share tab, beside the usual option to share by "Email" or "Embed." However, the GIF creator tab is only available on a limited selection of videos.

Regarding the new tool, Google and YouTube are yet to provide further information such as if this is an experimental thing or will roll out for every video. As of now, it is available for a limited number of videos, but everyone can try it.

Creating GIFs is not a new thing on Internet, but evidently it was not this simple ever.

After creating the GIF, YouTube also generates a shareable link making sharing even simpler than creating.

While creating a GIF, point to note is that the length of your GIF can only be 6 seconds.

What are you waiting for? Head over to YouTube and start GIF-ying you favorite videos and share them with us.
