Recasting one of the favorite roles in a television series is a hard decision not only for the producers, but fans also find it hard to accept.

However, bringing Justin Hartley to "Young and the Restless" to take over the role of Adam Newman was unarguably one of the best decisions made by the team members of the soap.

The popularity of the character Adam Newman increased exponentially during the time when the role was played by Michael Muhney. The fans were left disappointed and heartbroken when Muhney called it quits.

It was believed that the production team of the Young and the Restless will never be able to make up for the loss by finding a perfect man to play Adam's role. But then, the team proved everyone wrong by bringing Hartley in the team.

Hartley brought a new life to the character and the fans readily accepted him with open arms.

In an interview, Hartley was heard saying that Adam is amongst the best role on television tight now. He further states that Adam is more like a perfect character.

Adam is a bad boy character that everyone loves, yet they never fail to hate him as well. He is hopelessly romantic, devious and dynamic. His love is pious when he falls in love with someone, but being his enemy is as dreadful as it could be.

According to reports, Hartley has said, "I think Adam is going to find himself with every single thing he ever wanted." "He's a lover and a fighter-skewed 60/40 one way or another at any given time. He leads with his heart, his fists, and his brain."

Hartley's statement indicates that he might end up being the head of Newman Enterprises and will keep his marriage to Chelsea, a character played by Melissa Claire Egan.
