Microsoft fans are eager for an official statement about Microsoft Surface Pro 5 and there has been none so far. There is not so much as a word about its release or specs.

However, despite the tech-giant's silence, rumors haven't stopped circulating surrounding the device. The recent speculations suggest that the new addition to Surface Pro iteration will be a Surface Pen and Dock. The pen, reportedly, will be a rechargeable stylus and improved battery life.

There are also reports that the new Surface Pro 5 will come equipped with SkyLake Processor by Intel. However, in other reports, rumor also indicate Kaby Kale processor that will be under the hood of the device. Since SkyLake has already been used in its predecessor and Kaby Lake is supposedly an upgrade, the use of former is highly likely.

Other round of speculations hint at a 4K display that is being adopted by more and more devices these days. Another anticipated addition to the Surface Pro 5 is a fingerprint sensor.

The new Surface Pro 5 will also sport an improved battery life to accommodate high usage, especially heavy duty tasks such as streaming videos.

Despite all the speculated specs of the device, its release date still remains unconfirmed. Some sources say that it will be released in June or July this year. However, looks Microsoft already has a lot on its plate as far as June is concerned. With Windows 10 update in the tow, it is possible that Surface Pro be deferred until early next year.
