The Miami Heat is currently beefing up its strength and foundation as the team races toward completing a formidable lineup ahead of the playoffs to secure a position that will help them get past Eastern Conference rivals, namely, the Celtics, Hawks, and Bobcats. Just recently, they signed in Joe Johnson for SG-SF position and still inking deals to get the right players on board for its 15-man roster.

Just a few days ago, Sioux Falls PG Briante Weber has been signed in for the remaining part of the 2015-16 season until next year's Summer League.

"Typically when you have somebody that's so dynamic as a ball thief, sometimes that can translate to excess gambling." He added, "But when I watched his edits from college and then even this year in Sioux Falls, he has the tough balance of being able to be a bulldog, pesky defender, but also to be extremely disruptive and to force turnovers. I find that very unique," said Heat Coach Erik Spoelstra as quoted by Sun Sentinel.

Weber had been thrown into the spotlight when he played for Virginia Commonwealth University (VCU) Rams. Unfortunately, his path toward NBA has been stymied by torn ligament in 2015. Nevertheless, he joined the Heat's Developmental League (D-League) affiliate, the Sioux Falls Skyforce where he established his reputation for defense and steal, Ecumenical News reported.

Another addition to Miami's playoff roster includes Dorell Wright who was Heat's 19th overall pick back in 2004. According to ESPN, he had spent the last season playing for Chongqing Dragons of the Chinese Basketball Association where he averaged 24.3 points and 7.5 rebounds in all 37 games.

"I couldn't be more happy," Wright said as quoted by Associated Press. "I've seen this for a long time, me coming back at some point. I just didn't know when. It's awesome. I think it's going to be great."

For NBA observers, Wright is seen as an insurance policy as cash-strapped Miami advances for the playoffs. Heat's recent move reunited him to an old friend Dwayne Wade with whom he is particularly close.
