In a top secret behind-the-scenes deal with the Tennessee Titans, the Los Angeles Rams leaped over many teams in the league to acquire the highly coveted No. 1 overall pick in the NFL draft.

What did the Rams offer in exchange for getting the top pick?

Of course, Titans won't give up the precious No. 1 pick for nothing. In return for the pick, the Tennessee franchise is entitled to acquire Rams' original first-round pick at 15th overall, two second-round selections (43rd and 45th overall) and a third-round selection (76th). Furthermore, they are expected to receive Rams' first-and-third rounders in the 2017 draft.

With an agreement sealed with the Titans, the Rams will soon be the first team to choose the player they want on April 28- an indication of their need to get a new quarterback on their roster.

For the other side of the bargain, Titans would have the opportunity to fill in several vacancies in their roster.

"Being able to acquire six players in the top 76 this year, along with next year when you factor that into it - I am assuming five in the top three rounds - that is 11 players that we can add to this football team that should not only increase our depth, but give us good quality players at all those positions,'' Titans GM Jon Robinson said as quoted in a USA Today report.

"In the end we thought it was a decision that was best for this football team. It made sense for us to do it, and that's why we moved on it," Robinson further said.

The trade was reportedly a done deal by Wednesday night but both teams agreed to postpone official announcement as Los Angeles was caught up in Kobe Bryant's epic finale at Staples Center.

"This is the best thing for our football team," Coach Jeff Fisher said of the trade as reported by LA Times. "When you take into consideration what's ahead for this franchise and the enthusiasm and excitement, the timing couldn't have been better."

Meanwhile, Cleveland Browns, the team who holds the overall No. 2 NFL Draft pick, is reportedly going to lose out in the quarterback war with Rams eyeing on either Goff or Wentz according to NFL.com report.
