'The Fast And Furious 8' News Update: Scott Eastwood Joins as O'Connor, Pays Tribute to Paul Walker

The "Fast and the Furious" franchise has everything, from greatest actions to hot stars along with the fast cars.

Recently, Scott Eastwood announced that he is going to join the cast of "Fast and the Furious". He also included an impressive tribute to his close friend, late "Paul Walker." Scott will be joining the cast as Brian O'Connor, previously played by Paul.

On Monday afternoon, Scott posted a photo on his social media accounts with the #F8 (fast 8) hashtag. It signifies the eighth instalment of the blockbuster action extravaganza movie series. The actor was selected to honour Paul Walker and take forward his legacy. Paul was one amongst the original cast of "Fast and the Furious" and starred as Brian O'Conner in the series. However, he died in a severe car crash in November in the year 2013. Paul was last seen in the seventh part of the "Fast and the Furious" series.

According to reports, Scott had written, "Paul was a close friend of mine. We surfed together, travelled together, and he was a huge role model and influencing figure in my life when I was younger. He still is. He was an older brother to me. For me to be able to add to the F&F story, Paul's story and the FAST family are like a dream come true."

Just after a few hours of posting, Scott's announcement, the touching tribute had collected 60,000 likes on Instagram and 31,000 likes on Facebook.

In addition to this, Scott also disclosed his excitement about another legendary actor, Kurt Russell with whom he will be working and sharing screen with "Fast and the Furious 8."

Fast and the Furious 8 is due to hit the theatres on April 14, 2017.
