The pro-wrestling world has just seen the passing away of another legendary wrestler, Robert Windham, popularly known as Blackjack Mulligan at the age of 73 due to a number of health issues including a heart attack last year.

As stated on WWE official website, the WWE Hall of Famer was definitely one of the finest muscled competitors. With a towering height of 6-foot-9 weighing 9, 345 pounds, he was certainly a force to be reckoned with. He hailed from Eagle Pass, Texas, served as a Guam marine serviceman, and even had a brief stint with New York Jets before being catapulted to wrestling fame with his signature cowboy mustache and dreaded iron claw hold.

Windham was introduced to pro-wrestling in what was then the World Wide Wrestling Federation in 1967. He rose to fame after forging a team with Blackjack Lanza as they fought their way to win the 1975 Tag Team Championship as the villainous 'Blackjacks' according to Yahoo News. He inched further to popularity after staging a long-time feud with Andre the Giant.

Long after his retirement in 1987, Windham left a pretty strong wrestling legacy within his family. In fact, sons Kendall and Barry ventured into the pro-wrestling world as their father did. The latter was part of the Four Horsemen staple while the former carved his own brand during his WCW stint. The third generation of Windhams seemed to have found wrestling a worthwhile endeavor with his two grandsons going pro under the WWE franchise with ring names Bo Dallas and Bray Wyatt.

Because of the Blackjacks' impressive run and a number of titles won during their wrestling heyday, Mulligan and tag team partner Lanza were jointly inducted in the WWE Hall of Fame in 2006 joining other legendary Hall of Famers who all shaped pro-wrestling as we know it today as reported by New York Daily News.
