Long-time TNT sideline reporter has just received a flood of support from the entire NBA world as he struggles with cancer. For their part, Miami Heat just did a classy video tribute to show how much he had contributed to shaping the game.

As reported by Fox Sports, Miami Heat played off the tribute video during a timeout in their showdown with the Bulls much to Sager's surprise. The video clip featured Sager's enduring moments with some of NBA's renowned players with a closing message that stated 'Look forward to seeing you in the playoffs!'

The 64-year-old Sager was diagnosed with Leukemia two years ago. Initially, the cancer had been under control after getting a bone marrow transplant but the disease recurred in 2015 which forced the lovable reporter to take a leave for the rest of the season according to Sports Illustrated.

In a previous statement, Sager was given three-to-six-month prognosis by his doctors- timeframe which the TNT reporter stubbornly rejects.

"The typical prognosis is 3-6 months to live, but I would like to stress that is for a patient who is not receiving treatment.  Fortunately, I am receiving the best treatment in the world and I remain fully confident I will win this battle," as quoted by Turner Press Room.

He further noted, "Again, I would like to thank everyone for your generosity and encouragement.  I sincerely appreciate it and it means so much to me and my family.  I look forward to continuing my work on the sidelines for Turner Sports."

Furthermore, a strongly defiant Sager is determined not to leave his fate to deadly prognosis demonstrating his strong will to live.

"Well, whatever it takes. I'm not going to be that three to six months, I'm going to be that five years. I'm going to make medical history. ... I'm fighting this thing to the end. I have too much to do," remarked Sager as mentioned in a report by the Washington Post.
