Nothing about GTA 6 has been confirmed yet by the game developer, Rockstar. However, the rumors are rife that the next installment of popular GTA series, "Grand Theft Auto 6," is currently in the development stage. Even though there is no official confirmation yet, the fans didn't stop anticipating the upcoming addition to the video games series that takes players into the world of criminal activities and gangsters.

According to the buzz around the game, there will be improved gaming experience that is expected of new generation consoles. The technology to be used in GTA 6 is rumored to be sophisticated enough to require better graphics and seamless hardware performance from the consoles. With this, the next generation of consoles, tentatively named as PlayStation 5 and Xbox Two, are also going to launch just in time for GTA's official release. This is scheduled to happen anytime between 2018 and 2020.

It is also noted that gamers are always hoping to explore better locations in the open world shooter games and Rockstar has supposedly heeded that feedback as the company is in the process of scouting locations outside of U.S. However, the initial report that the game will be set in Tokyo was later scrapped. The possible locations for now are either Nevada or Colombia.

There will also be more characters to choose from in GTA 6. Previous GTA games only had three characters, Michael, Trevor and Franklin. However, with GTA VI, Rockstar is rumored to introduce a female character, who is believed to be voiced by Hollywood actor, Eva Mendes. But Rockstar stated in earlier reports that it is unlikely that a female personality will be added to the game.

Another thing that fans can look out for in GTA 6 is the change in buildings as the gamers are looking for in-game structures that can be utilized more. The beautiful structures in previous versions of the game were not fully utilized due to PS3/Xbox 360 limitations. However, with GTA 6 all set to launch on newer consoles, this graphic restriction is all likely to be fixed.
