Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice is out in theaters, receiving mixed responses from various quarters of critics and audience. But everyone is unanimous in praise for Wonder Woman, the super heroine who makes a great comeback in the superheroes' mashup drama.

Played by Gal Gadot, a Miss Israel pageant winner and former troop of the Israeli army, Wonder Woman has got everyone's attention despite not getting much of screen time. Her role can be best described as a cameo but full marks to Gadot for performing it with conviction. She holds her own in front of the Caped Crusader and Superman.

The duel between Batman and Diana Prince (alter ego of Wonder Woman) is every bit enthralling with the former winning it like a true warrior. She beats him in his own mission and gives him a lesson in the art of superhero collaboration, without looking overtly dramatic. Neither relying on her oomph nor using her sex appeal, Wonder Woman is exactly what a female superhero ought to be.

Of course, her revealing outfit is being seen as a ploy to sex up the character but producer Deborah Snyder begs to differ and so do the viewers. The super heroine reclaims her lost position with admirable élan. The Amazonian princess is as much an inspiration as any of her male counterparts; exactly what her creator William Moulton Marston wanted her to be. So, full marks to the team for reviving her in a flawless manner.

And, this really bodes well for the next super heroine movie, which will see Gadot in the lead role as per reports. Wonder Woman is slated to release next year, on 23 June. Directed by Patty Jenkins, the movie presents the protagonist in an entirely new light. As per Patty, she will have all the unique feminine characteristics of being loving and generous but it won't take away her power in anyway. The trailer has been already released by Warner Bros.
