A report published yesterday revealed that Samsung Galaxy S7 and S7 Edge have received a roaring response in pre-orders. The pre-orders opened in China on March 11.

From the time pre-orders opened, 10 million units have already been booked where the consumers ordered as many as 6.35 million Galaxy S7 and S7 Edge from Jingdong Mall alone. This is one of the biggest online retailers in China. Another 1.3 million units were ordered from Sunning and the remaining come from Lynx and Gome.

If the company manages to keep the traction, it can easily reach 15 million pre-orders of their new upcoming handset. The pre-orders will close on March 18 in China.

Ever since these handsets were introduced last month, Samsung Galaxy S7 and S7 Edge have been in the news for all the right reasons. From the look of first sales report, Chinese consumers have shown phenomenal interest in Samsung smartphones. Their pre-order numbers have shadowed that of Europe's.

Up until this moment, the competitive Chinese market has been reticent to Samsung and its offerings, in terms of sales. However, with new S7 series, it seems that the South Korean tech giant will finally become a part of the market share.

These figures look especially good for Samsung, as far as Chinese market is concerned. Only a week a ago, Koh Dong-Jin, mobile chief of Samsung, announced that the company is aiming to turn the tables in China with their new flagship smartphones, Samsung Galaxy S7 and S7 Edge.

However, at this point, it is uncertain as to how many of these pre-orders will finally transform into sales because in China, pre-orders essentially mean registering your interest in the product and not actually buying it.
