It's official! After confirming that Facebook ran a series of tests for multiple account support in its Messenger application, the feature is now set to be rolled out for all Android users to enjoy. Facebook's iPhone users may have to wait a little bit though as its engineers are tweaking out some bugs before the functionality becomes fully operational.

"All over the world, hundreds of millions of people share their phones and tablets with members of their family and friends," Facebook's official statement reads as quoted by Tech Times.

Now that the multiple account feature is set to go live on Android devices under Settings>Accounts, users will have ease of access by using just a single device to manage numerous work and personal accounts or take care of multiple dedicated pages according to a report by Android Police.

So how does this new feature work?

After logging in to one account, you are now able to see the unread messages for other counts which you can easily switch too at will as mentioned by Life Hacker.

However, Facebook implements a feature to circumvent privacy issues such as anyone reading and replying to everyone's messages. As mentioned earlier, a user can only see unread messages of the other account. To read them, user have switch to that account by typing in the password the first time and indicate whether to require same process for each subsequence account switch. So the process is thoughtfully a middle-ground deal for those who prefer quick and easy switch and those who value privacy.
