Jared Fogle, the former spokesman for Subway, will be serving a 15-year prison sentence after pleading guilty to receiving and distributing child pornography and engaging in sexual relations with minors.

U.S. District Judge Tanya Walton Pratt sentenced Fogle to 188 months per count on Thursday after a four-hour and 42-minute long hearing. The sentence totals to 15 years and eight months. He will also be required to pay restitution amounting to $1.4 million to 14 victims.

Fogle was recommended to serve his time at a prison in Littleton, Colorado that is know for a sex offender program. All federal prisoners are required to serve at least 85 percent of their sentences.

Today's sentencing hearing, which started at around 9 a.m. ET, revealed that Fogle had received more than 400 videos of child porn. He also traveled out of his home state of Indiana and to other states in order to pay for sex with underage girls.

The prosecutors were seeking a prison sentence of around 12 years while Fogle's attorneys were asking for five years. Fogle had agreed to plead guilty back in August.

The Star recounted Fogle's statement:

Fogle's voice cracked and he sobbed as he said, "Not a day will go by when I don't think about what I did to (the victims)."

"Members of my family are also victims of my acts," he said before noting that his wife will be a single mother.

"You gave your wife $7 million, so she'll be OK," the judge said, interrupting.

Fogle was arrested after police raided his home in July. Subway had severed ties with Fogle, who is known for losing at least 200 pounds from eating the restaurant's sandwiches and exercising.
