‘Fifty Shades Darker’ Dakota Johnson Seen Holding Hands with Ex-Boyfriend Matthew Hitt

"Fifty Shades Darker" lead actress Dakota Johnson was spotted holding hands with her on-and-off again boyfriend, Matthew Hitt, just days after she said she was single.

Johnson, 25, who told Ellen DeGeneres while on her show last Friday that she did not have a boyfriend, was seen walking hand-in-hand with Hitt, 28. They were strolling in the SoHo area of New York City. The Drowners front man had his arm around Johnson's shoulders and looked smitten.

On the "ellen" show, Johnson joked about how guys are intimidated of her when she was asked if she thought guys were more attracted to her after "Fifty Shades of Grey."

"I guess they're scared of me," Dakota said. "They either love me or they're running for the hills. I guess they're running for the hills."

Johnson and Hitt started dating in July 2014. They broke up shortly after Johnson's movie "Fifty Shades of Grey" opened in theaters back in February. The rumors claimed that the intimate sex scenes from the movie were too much for Hitt. Hitt also reportedly did not like the relationship between Johnson and her co-star, Jamie Dornan.

Johnson's fame from the movie was another variable that caused a strain in their relationship.

Johnson's relationship with Hitt will be tested once again when the "Black Mass" actress starts filming for the "Fifty Shades of Grey" sequel, "Fifty Shades Darker."
