Donald Trump really does have real hair.

At the Upstate Chamber Presidential Series with her husband, Republican Mary Margaret Bannister was eager to hear what the presidential frontrunner was going to say. Trump called her from 1,400 persons to check his toupee.

"This is on the front page of the New York Times. I don't wear a toupee, it's my hair! I swear. We're gonna settle this! Come on up here, they're gonna let you," Trump said, pointing at Bannister, reported The Sydney morning Herald. "You have to do an inspection, real quick. We don't wanna mess it up too much 'cause I do use hairspray."

Mary Margaret had probably expected some profound statements on national issues, but this was a rather hair-raising experience.

"It was a very bizarre experience. You know, I was just listening to the speech and then it just kind of happened. He made eye contact with me. I think he definitely had in mind that he wanted to tell everybody that his hair was real and needed someone to come up," Bannister, a stay-at-home mother of four and former school teacher, told CNN.

"To me it looked real. It was not a toupee. When I approached him, he kind of leaned toward me, put his head toward me, and asked me to touch his hair," said Bannister, who was incredulous about what had happened. She is a registered Republican and is married to the South Carolina House Majority Leader Rep. Bruce Bannister.

Once the inspection was completed, Bannister did hear some more serious issues---of Trump, rather than the nation.

Trump talked about how Jeb Bush is a terrible candidate, while he himself, i.e., the august speaker, has all the energy to climb up to presidency, according to hngn.

Trump also discussed that the wall he wants to build on the Mexican border was going to be "beautiful", and George Pataki in his campaign had "an arrow that was pointing up," reported The New York Times.

Still, Bannister did find the experience entertaining. "He is an interesting man to listen to," Bannister added. "He keeps the crowd intrigued by what he has to say."
