Sense8 Season 2 Update: Creators Bet on Renewal, Say Netfilx Show Too Addictive to be Axed

"Sense8" fans are still waiting for Netflix to renew the original series.

Co-creator J. Michael Straczynski has given fans hope that the show will not be axed. After attending San Diego Comic-Con, Straczynski was very optimistic when he said that he expects to hear from Netflix very soon.

According to Comic Book Resources, Straczynski stated that the show is up for renewal and is expected to be renewed. He added that Netflix producers have told him that fans have been watching the entire first season "straight through - three, four, six times."

More recently, the cast of Sense8, Brian J. Smith, Tuppance Middleton, Aml Ameen, Doona Bae, Jamie Clayton, Tina Desai, Max Riemelt, and Miguel ángel Silvestre, sat down to answer questions via a global Google+ hangout.

Smith, who plays Will Gorski, immediately addressed the renewal rumors, stating that the show has yet to be renewed for a season 2.

The sci-fi drama has stolen the hearts of many viewers. Although the series started off on a slow start, with many critics stating that the plot was hard to understand, it ended on a high note.

Sense8 is about eight strangers who are from different parts of the world. Out of nowhere, the strangers become linked mentally and emotionally and are able to use each other's skills and knowledge.

The 12-episode show was released on June 5.
