Country music power duo Blake Shelton and Miranda Lambert are divorcing after four years of marriage.

"This is not the future we envisioned. And it is with heavy hearts that we move forward separately. We are real people, with real lives, with real families, friends and colleagues. Therefore, we kindly ask for privacy and compassion concerning this very personal matter, Miranda and Blake said in a formal statement via USA Today.

Since their first meeting at a 2010 taping for CMT, Blake and Miranda had then started dating until a year later on May 14, 2011, in Boerne, Texas that they finally tie the knot.

Blake Shelton has also been a judge on NBC's singing competition The Voice since 2011.

Two years before the divorce, the 31-year old country diva may have hinted her fans at a musical performance in Wyoming  as she gets emotional while performing The House That Built Me" a song written by Blake Shelton for her then fiancée, US Magazine said.

"No one wants to cry in front of 19,000 people. I think you know this song so will y'all sing it for me?" Lambert talk to her crowd while trying to regain her composure.

In parts where Miranda can barely sing, fans are said to have taken over and sing the lyrics.

Details of the divorce have not yet been divulged but a source for Blake Shelton told People that the judge for the voice never cheated on her then-wife.

"Blake is just that incredibly loyal and dedicated husband. I can guarantee you he has been faithful to that woman."
