Is Apple planning to topple records that the iPhone 6 set last year? The talk in the tech world suggests the Cupertino giant is planning its biggest iPhone launch this September.

The new phone, most likely the iPhone 6S, could launch on September 25 with pre-orders starting a week earlier, reports PC Advisor. The phone will certainly not be a deviation from iPhone 6 in design and appearance terms but is expected to come with improved hardware. Rumors suggest a better processor and 2GB RAM. Other specifications are likely to remain unchanged.

Leaked images with Macworld show that the new phone could support LTE and provide download speeds twice higher than what the iPhone 6 is capable of. The report also says that Apple has ordered between 85 million and 90 million units of iPhone 6S as against the 80 million units of iPhone 6 ordered last year.

One of the most talked about features in the new iPhone is the Force Touch Display. The phone can distinguish between a light touch and a forceful press, to respond differently. Several reports which suggest that the iPhone 6S will be marginally thicker than its predecessor and its thickness is attributable to Force Touch display.
