The Buffalo Bills announced that they have placed offensive line coach, Aaron Kromer on indefinite paid administrative leave after he was arrested for allegedly punching a boy this past weekend.

"Over the last few days our organization has continued to gather information in regards to the alleged incident involving Offensive Line Coach Aaron Kromer," Bills president Russ Brandon said in the statement. "We have been in regular discussions with the league office and have decided to place Aaron on indefinite paid administrative leave in accordance with the league's Personal Conduct Policy while we continue to work our way through the investigative process with the league."

Kromer was arrested on a misdemeanor battery charge while in Walton County, Florida. He and his son, Zachary, allegedly got into a heated argument with three boys, who were fishing at the beach, over some chairs.

The Walton County sheriff's office said in a statement that Kromer is being accused of pushing one of the boy to the ground and punching him in the face before threatening to kill the boy's family if he contacted the police. Kromer also allegedly threw the boy's fishing rod into the water. TMZ is reporting that the prosecutors might pursue child abuse charges.

There are no reports on whether or not Kromer was intoxicated during the time of the event.

The police will be pursing a misdemeanor battery charge against Zachary, who they believe got physical in the altercation. The state attorney's office has already issued a criminal summons against Zachary.

Kromer joined the Bills in January after spending two seasons with the Chicago Bears.
