One week after the Cleveland Cavaliers lost the 2015 NBA Finals to the Golden State Warriors, LeBron James, who was spectacular in the series, has ended his self-inflicted social media ban to address Cleveland fans.

The four-time MVP wrote a caption accompanying a picture of children at the Cedar Point amusement park via Facebook that read:

"It hurt to lose. I've been in a funk lately, but this... this is what motivates me to do what I do. How can I ever be down when I know my kids and my fans have my back? Being back home and back with my fans is everything that I dreamed of. Thank you for an incredible season. I'm not satisfied... I'm not happy with the way things turned out... I PROMISE to get better. #StriveForGreatness #ILoveTheseKids #GodBlessOurFans."

This is the very first time since April that James used social media. James previously revealed that he likes to cut himself off from social media during the postseason in order to focus on getting to the championship and ideally winning it.

Prior to this post on Facebook, James talked about how proud he was of his team for the effort they put in during the playoffs.

"You know, for a team that's first getting together, in our first year to be able to reach the Finals -- not saying I'm happy with the results, but I'm proud of our guys. Just the growth that they had from the first day we walked in the gym to the other day, us losing, I'm proud of the guys and what they was able to accomplish," James said. "Hopefully I can put our team in position once again to try to compete for a championship next year and year in and year out. That's my goal, and my inspiration hasn't changed."

James can opt out of his contract by the end of the month to become a free agent.
