Two women are making news this week as their chances of winning an Oscar are being discussed.

Rooney Mara who walked away with the Best Actress accolade at Cannes for her role as Cate Blanchet's love interest in 'Carol', could be in the reckoning for the 'Best Supporting Actress' category. Mara was a surprise as Cate Blanchet was expected to be judged the Best Actress or share it with her co-star, Indiewire reports. It must noted that nominations are months away.

Another actress being talked about is Emily Blunt. The trailer of her latest movie Sicario was recently released and the actress's role is in it received rave reviews. According to Latin Post, the film made its world premiere at Cannes where it was appreciated. The movie sees Blunt as an FBI agent working to solve the drug cartel problem between US and Mexico. Given that the movie has Oscar winners, it would be nice if Blunt gets nominated.

The Hollywood Reporter speaks of 'Inside Out' an animated film from Disney-Pixar. The movie could join the list of animation movies including Beauty and the Beast and Up to win the 'Best Picture' award.
