Marc Gasol can expect to receive a lot of offers when he becomes a free agent this summer.

Gasol, who has been a member of the Minnesota Timberwolves throughout his entire career, will have a tough decision to make. According to several reports, several teams, including the seasoned San Antonio Spurs and the rebuilding Los Angeles Lakers will put forth tempting proposals to try to get the Spaniard to leave Minnesota.

"Gasol is in the final season of a contract extension that expires at the end of June, and the two-time All-Star and former NBA defensive player of the year is expected to be one of the top targets on the market. The San Antonio Spurs, Los Angeles Lakers, New York Knicks and Dallas Mavericks all are developing proposals to present to Gasol when the free-agency recruiting period opens July 1, according to multiple league sources," ESPN.com's Mike Wallace wrote.

Shortly after the Grizzlies were eliminated from the playoffs by the Golden State Warriors, reporters asked Gasol what his thoughts for his future were. Gasol, however, was still hung up on the loss.

"I haven't put all the scenarios on the table yet," Gasol said. "I'm still trying to figure out what I could have done different to [help us] beat Golden State. That's where my mind is the last 72 hours. I know that's not the point you guys want to hear, but that's the reality. I woke up this morning with that feeling over and over again of, 'What could I have done better?'"

The Grizzlies lost in six games against the league's best team.

Gasol is a two-time all-star and the 2013 NBA Defensive Player of the year. In this season, the center averaged 17.4 points with 7.8 rebounds and 1.6 blocks. In his career, he averaged 14.1 points with 7.9 rebounds and 1.6 blocks.

The Grizzlies' top priority this offseason is to retain Gasol. The team can offer him a maximum deal that would pay him roughly $109 million over five seasons. Wallace reported that the veteran player could also agree to a two-year contract worth around $40 million with a player option for the second season. The player option would allow Gasol to test the free agent market again in 2016 when the NBA salary cap is expected to increase.

"It won't be no drama; it won't be nothing crazy," said Gasol, "I think it's going to be a well-thought decision, something you feel good about and you move forward with. I don't see the future. I cannot imagine what it's going to be like. But the ties to this city -- to the people of this city -- go beyond basketball with me. My whole family has been here since 2001."

Grizzlies point guard, Mike Conley, who has also spent his entire career in Minnesota, will reportedly try to convince Gasol to stay put.

"I haven't been worried about it too much; I haven't stressed about it, so I think that's a good thing," Conley said. "I feel good, so hopefully that puts confidence in a lot of people. We've got a couple of things up our sleeves, trying to keep him here, so we're pulling out all the strings. Trust me."

The most any other team can offer Gasol is five-years worth $80 million.
