Brad Pitt's physique has been slightly tarnished with as he appeared with a fresh bruise on his face when he attended the 3rd annual Light Up the Blues concert on Saturday at the Pantages Theatre in Hollywood, E! Online reports.

In a statement to the media released in the event for Autism Speaks, the award-winning actor attributed it to a previous minor accident.

This is what happens when you try to run up steps in the dark, with your arms full, wearing flip flops. Turns out, if you then try to stop your forward momentum with your face, the result is road rash," Brad said amidst at least 3,000 people inside the theater hall.

Despite his imperfect looks that night, he is still happy to attend the event.

"Regardless, I wasn't going to miss the Autism Speaks benefit the night after. Wonderful people and I was honored to be a part of this important event," he said.

According to People, the event which is hosted by Jack Black, showcased a bidding war for a Fender guitar that bears the signature of the night's performance who all have autism.

The 51-year old actor won the highest bid as he offered $23,000 for the priceless item.
