Twin Peaks director David Lynch's announcement that he will not be directing the show's revival has caused a stir among supporters and cast in the show. In social media, some original members aired out their support to get the director back.

According to Deadline, cast of the show posted a video collage on Youtube that is posted in Madchen Amick, who played Shelly Johnson in the series. It started with the phrase saying, ""Twin Peaks without David Lynch is like ...." with the character comparing the experience with a well-known element of the show.

Some of the lines said in the video include for example "Twin Peaks without David Lynch is like a girl without a secret," as Sheryl Lee's line goes as she played a girl with a mysterious lifestyle in the series, The Guardian reports.

Mädchen Amick, who played the role of Shelly Johnson, a cafe worker said in the video: "Twin Peaks without David Lynch is like a waitress without her uniform."

Catherine E Coulson (aka the Log Lady) and Wendy Robie, who played Nadine Hurley also appeared in the video.

A complete list of lines uttered from each character can be found in Cnet.

Showtime plans to revive the 1990-1991 Twin Peaks in time for its 25th anniversary in 2016. Deadline said that its production is scheduled to start on October 2015 of the nine episodes with its premiere on 2016.

Further, original creators David Lynch and Mark Frost have written the first nine scripts when suddenly, on Sunday Lynch announced on Twitter that he is backing out from his responsibility as director of the show.

"After 1 year and 4 months of negotiations, I left because not enough money was offered to do the script the way I felt it needed to be done," he wrote.

Meanwhile, Variety said that Lynch did not consult anybody including his lawyer Tom Hansen of Hansen Jacobson about his decision to quit from the show. Also, it also believed that Lynch does not keep any rep or spokesperson recently.
