HBO Now Is Now Available on Apple TV, iOS App Store
HBO's cable-free subscription service, HBO Now, is now live on Apple TV and iOS App Store. The service has been launched with a free trial and once the free window expires the service will run customers $14.99 per month.
Initially, HBO Now will be exclusive to Apple hardware, i.e., Apple TV and iOS devices. The exclusive partnership was announced last month's "Spring Forward" event.
Reportedly, the service uses streaming technology from MLB Advanced Media, which also powers the existing MLB app on the Apple TV.
The launch arrives just in time for the start of the fifth season of HBO's most popular show, Game of Thrones, on April 12.
To set up monthly subscription, users can visit this site. As of now, the service is available directly through Apple or Optimum Online.
