Radio program hosts, Mike Gallagher and Chris Wallace, separately aired their apologies to Kelly Clarkson after giving out alleged 'offensive' and 'fat-shaming' comment alluding about the singer's weight.

"I sincerely apologize to Kelly Clarkson for my offensive comment. I admire her remarkable talent and that should have been the focus of any discussion about her," Chris Wallace said through his rep as reported by E! Online.

Mike Gallagher also posted his apology online saying, "Tubby Mike is the last person in the world who should bring up anyone's weight. I couldn't possibly feel any worse than I do for making an observation that led to the conclusion that I 'fat-shamed' this talented and classy entertainer. It was a really stupid thing for me to do."

According to USA Today, the incident happened on Friday's episode of The Mike Gallagher Show when Mike Gallagher is said to be initiating a conversation about the songstress' weight.

"Have you seen Kelly Clarkson? ... Holy cow, did she blow up," Gallagher said.

Wallace is said to have commented back saying that the American Idol winner has a 'lovely voice'. However, he added to Gallagher's previous comment regarding Clarkson's weight saying, "She could stay off the deep-dish pizza for a little while."

The comment first caught the attention of Wallace's Fox News colleague, Greta Van Susteren attention as she talked about it in her blog saying, "This 'guy snickering' about her weight is obnoxious. He should apologize," she wrote on her blog," a report from MSN said.

Meanwhile, the songstress is said to have shown no reaction about the controversial comment. USA Today said that she never brought up the issue on her Twitter and instead posted a picture of a recent board game that she and her family are enjoying.

Newscom.au also pointed out Kelly Clarkson's statement about her weight in her interview at the Ellen Degeneres Show.

"We are who we are. Whatever size, and it doesn't meant that we're gonna be that forever," the 32-year old singer said.
