A Michigan man thought he was having a stroke after he unknowingly ate pot brownies baked by his 17 year old daughter the night before.

The 58 year old father from Independence Township, returned home to find a plate full of brownies in the kitchen and decided to tuck in.

Unaware that the brownies were laced with the psychoactive ingredient, he started to suddenly feel sick and an emergency medical call was made.

The man was then taken to the St Joseph's Hospital while the daughter admitted to the Police about making the pot brownies.

Fortunately he was only experiencing a high after eating the pot laced brownies and was said to be fine health.

Oakland County Undersheriff Mike McCabe said, "The father thought he was having a stroke."

"She put them in the kitchen but didn't expect anyone to eat them."

McCabe added, "I don't know about you, but when my wife bakes some brownies and leaves them out, they're there for someone to eat."

The brownies in the meanwhile have been sent to the lab for testing. It is still unclear if the daughter will be charged for her culinary misadventure.

While marijuana has been legalized in the state, possession still accounts as misdemeanour.

McCabe said, "If it comes back as marijuana or something else, it's going to the prosecutor. She's 17 and an adult in the eyes of the law. She's not going to get it light, no. This will be a lesson for her and everybody else."
