Facebook spelt out new content regulation rules to guide its users, on Monday.

According to New York Post, Facebook as part of its community standards described what it wouldn't allow when it came to nudity, hate speech, violence and graphic content. Citing instances of depiction of breasts, Facebook noted that it would restrict images showing female breasts if they include the nipple. However photos depicting women breastfeeding and post-mastectomy scars will be allowed.

"Restrictions on the display of both nudity and sexual activity also apply to digitally created content unless the content is posted for educational, humorous, or satirical purposes. Explicit images of sexual intercourse are prohibited," Facebook ruled.

Tech2 reported Mark Zuckerberg saying that Facebook was not changing the rules but merely providing guidance to its users. Facebook affirmed that it won't allow any terror organization to have presence on the social network. Social media has been used by terrorist organizations in the past for recruitment and spreading ideas.

Facebook also stated that content promoting hate against any community will be removed while maintaining that its commitment to allow satire, humor and social commentary related to subjects like race, gender or religion which are usually subjects of hate speech.

Another category of Facebook posts that was mentioned include violence and graphic content. Facebook stated clearly that it would remove graphic content glorifying violence or sharing it for sadistic pleasure.
