You may not have a butler to open the door of your car, but how about hiring a lion?

Those big cats without opposable thumbs can do it. They can open the doors of your cars with their teeth, according to iflscience.com. Hence, if you go on a safari to watch lions, don't be under the illusion that sitting behind closed doors can keep you safe from those magnificent cats, who may have missed their breakfast.

Last year, in March, when Kaylene Sutherland and her sister Cindy were visiting their missionary parents in South Africa, they had the "experience of a lifetime," according to usatoday.

The two sisters and their brother Joshua went on a safari ride, and got a terrifying neighbour trying to drop in, when a lion opened their car door with a tug.

"You were supposed to lock the door," screamed one of the passengers in the video. But all three of them managed to slam the door shut and lock it.

Joshua Sutherland uploaded the video to YouTube in March 2014 but it became viral only recently.

Amazingly, ever since Jane Goodall showed 55 years ago how chimpanzees can use tools, we understood that it was more common than we imagined. Chimpanzees use blades of grass to "fish" for termites. Crows can make use of tools while dolphins may use sponges to protect their noses and rewire their brains.

So what is the tool that is being used here by the lions? Just the doorknob of your car.

For what?

Well, you wouldn't really want to find out whether the lion would like to take the next step for his lunch, would you?
