Kathy Bates was part of seasons 3 and 4. She has expressed her desire to be part of season 5 in the past.
Season 5 is expected to be about chemical weapon testing on humans. Lead stars Jessica Lange and Sarah Paulson may not reappear due to other filming commitments.
