There were speculations that season 4 will be the last season of “Nashville” after ABC canceled the show. At the end of season 4, Avery (Jonathan Jackson) and Candice received the tragic news about Juliette’s plane crashing while they waited her on the airport.

According to Moviefone, this trailer is taking the fans on the plane to show them the horror Juliette experienced. Rayna (Donnie Britton), Deacon (Charles Esten), Maddie (Lennon Stella) and Daphne (Maisy Stella) were watching the report for Juliette’s plane when they confirmed the plane crashed. A crucial role in season 5 will be the crush and Juliette’s recovery.

According to Movie News Guide, creator, and producer Callie Khouri said they are happy with the changes and the whole team is giving everything they can to revive the series and to connect the characters with fans. Khouri also said season 5 will be more emotional and less like soap opera, however, it will bring a lot of dramatic moments. Last season had a good rating and when ABC canceled the series in May, CMT picked it up for season 5.

Fans can sleep still, season 5 revealed Juliette is alive, but, she will need a lot of time and help to recover. Her recovery won’t be easy and it won’t be fast but she is alive and that’s what matters. There are rumors the star will meet trans woman in season 5 who will have a significant role in her recovery.

“Nashville” season 5 will be aired on January 5, 2017, on CMT.
