"Anne Rice" is currently working on her TV adaptation of the famous 'The Vampire Chronicles.' She recently got  hold of the rights for her written work back.

It is reported that "Anne Rice's" dream for her famous "The Vampire Chronicles" is that it will be given a home in television. In fact, she shared her excitement on gaining the theatrical rights of her book series on her Facebook page.

Anne Rice is going to do a script for the series together with her son Christopher Rice. "The Vampire Chronicles" is about the different vampires living their lives within society. The first of these books is 'Interview with the Vampire.'

'Interview with the Vampire' was published in 1976. It is the first book of "Anne Rice's" "The Vampire Chronicles". This book is followed by 'The Vampire Lestat 'which was published in 1985. 'The Queen of the Damned' is next and was published in 1988. This is followed by a book published in 1992 titled 'The Tale of the Body Thief.' In 1995, 'Memnoch the Devil' has been published.

These are the books that compose The Vampire Chronicles. "Anne Rice" is set to have these characters on television. There were already movie adaptations with some of these books. The most famous one was 'Interview with the Vampire: The Vampire Chronicles' which was portrayed by Brad Pitt as Louise and Tom Cruise as Lestat.

The plan for the series is that "Anne Rice" is going to begin with 'The Vampire Lestat.' This reveals the life of Lestat from being a rock star to becoming a vampire. The series is going to evolve on Lestat's story.

Christopher Rice is going to make the initial script for the TV series adaptation. "Anne Rice" also wants the highest quality TV adaptation for her famous 'The Vampire Chronicles' book series.

This is a long way to go and "Anne Rice" is going to have a challenging job in getting the actors to play the roles. Fans and followers can expect the best.
