"Passenger" gives the viewers another kind of a unique movie experience this early Christmas. "Passenger" stars Jennifer Lawrence (Hunger Games) and Chris Pratt (Jurassic World). The two were assigned to an out-of-the-earth task.  It is a sci-fi romance thriller written by Jon Spaihts and directed by Morten Tyldum.

The plot begins with a spaceship estimated to travel for 120 years to a distant planet, "Homestead II".  Starship Avalon transports 5,259 people by putting these people under cryogenic sleep to survive as they travel towards their new home.

The "Passengers" trailer follows the character of Jim Preston, a mechanical engineer and Aurora Dunn, a journalist and a cosmic travel enthusiast.  Both had an untimely waking hour, an estimate of 90 years earlier than the original schedule.  Their sleeping pods opened prematurely.  The footage revealed that only the two of them were ejected, while the rest continues hibernating.  This scene keeps the suspense higher as the two looked for answers.  And while they are finding the solution to the 'should be' sleep mode, the two fell in love.

The search led the two to discover that the spacecraft is in serious threat. The lives of all the "Passengers" are at stake.  They also managed to find out the reason why the system woke them up earlier than expected.  The plot leaves the audience breathless following the high level of suspense involving the casts under peril.  It is also packed with high energy action and death defying stunts.

Jennifer described the difficult scenes she's been through during the shoot.  One of which is the situation where she almost drowned as she dipped on the space craft's swimming pool.  The malfunction in the craft caused gravity in the pool chamber.  Thus, the water rose and formed like a giant water ball that traps Aurora inside.  The shooting involves quick response and higher stamina to be able to survive the water dilemma.

The future generation lies in the hands of Jim and Aurora.  Will the two be able to succeed and save the hibernating people?  Catch your breath as you watch Sony Picture's "Passengers" showing December 21, 2016.
