"Narcos" Season 3 has confirmed by Netflix to air next year. Pablo Escobar (Wagner Moura) is dead and it seems that there are new characters to continue in the drug trade.

According to a report in Ecumenical News, new characters are added to "Narcos" Season 3. One of these characters is Chris Feistl who is portrayed by Michael Stahl-David and is one of the DEA agents who is sent by America to Columbia to look into the growing Cali Cartel.

Festl's partner is Daniel Van Ness and is portrayed by Matt Whelan in "Narcos" Season 3. Further revelations about the character will come out in the future. Additionally, Arturo Castro plays William Rodriguez. He is the eldest son of Francisco Denis' Miguel Rodriguez.

Rodriguez plays a significant role in "Narcos" Season 3 since he handles the Cali Cartel right after Gilberto Rodriguez Orejuela (Damian Alcazar) is arrested. Christina (Kerry Beshi), who is speculated to be the wife of one of the Cali Cartel's members, joins the show. She happens to be the cause of the cartel's downfall.

In a report from MNR Daily, Javier Pena who is portrayed by Pedro Pascal is going to return in "Narcos" Season 3. It is not confirmed as of this time if Pena's partner Boyd Holbrook who plays the role of Steve Murphy is coming back to the show.

It is already confirmed that right after the Medellin Cartel, the Cali Cartel rises. This is after the death of Pablo Escobar. The Cali Cartel does their business differently from Escobar. The latter has done the trade personally, while the Cali Cartel is an organization and has different members from all walks of profession.

It has already been reported by News Everyday that the Cali Cartel in "Narcos" Season 3 is headed by Gilberto Rodriguez Orejuela. This cartel is composed of professionals and follows a system. There is more to the drug trade even if Escobar is already out of the picture.

"Narcos" Season 3 is set to air in 2017.
