"Narcos" Season 3 has been confirmed by Netflix and the story moves forward even after the death of Pablo Escobar (Wagner Moura). It is speculated that the Cali Cartel will take over the drug trade now that Escobar is not around.

Cheat Sheet reports that "Narcos" Season 3 focuses mainly on the Cali Cartel. It can be recalled that the Cali Cartel has been built up in the final episode of the second season. Medellin has been taken over and eventually the Cali Cartel operates 90% in the drug trade in the US.

The Cali Cartel operates differently from Pablo Escobar. This is a complex organization and is composed of different professionals, while Escobar operated alone."Narcos" Season 3 will explore more on the Cali Cartel's organization and who the members are.

According to a report in the Hollywood Reporter, Cali Cartel's history started taking over when the Medellin Cartel fell. Slowly, it is evident that the Cali Cartel is responsible for the majority of the cocaine trade in the U.S. Their story will be explored better in "Narcos" Season 3.

Meanwhile, Steve Murphy (Boyd Holbrook) and Javier Pena (Pedro Pascal) has left Colombia when Escobar died. There are questions now if they both are coming back in Narcos Season 3. Murphy and Pena have been the ones who took down Escobar in the previous season.

Now that Escobar is gone the fight for drug continues in "Narcos" Season 3 according to Ecumenical News. In the upcoming season, Damian Alcazar as Gilberto Rodriguez Orejuela comes in and will be the leader of the famous Cali Cartel.

Gilberto and his brothers Miguel (Francisco Denis) and Pacho Herrera (Alberto Ammann) lead the drug cartel with their own cocaine brand in "Narcos" Season 3. They get to merge their own cartel with the Medellin cartel and later on rule the trade.

Escobar is gone and the drug trade continues in "Narcos" season 3 which is set to air on Netflix in 2017.
