Otto, a Team of Google Veterans, Manufacturing Self-Driving Trucks

A pair of Google veterans have assembled a team of experts who have worked for a number of other notable Silicon Valley companies and startups to form a company called Otto with the aim of making truck driving on highways safer through automation. Unlike driverless car projects elsewhere, the company is more concerned with developing the technology that can be easily fitted into trucks to help drivers on the road.

GM Starts 2015 By Recalling More Than 90,000 Trucks, SUVs For Ignition Lock Defect

General Motors is recalling more than 90,000 full-size trucks and SUVs for a defect in ignition lock systems that can cause problem in hot conditions. The recall covers certain 2011 to 2012 models and certain 2007 to 2014 models that were repaired with defective parts.
