Apple's MacBook air would incorporate a fanless chip that would make the device ultra-thin and portable.

According to IB Times, MacBook Air is set to ship with Intel's fifth generation Broadwell-Y Core M processor that boasts of 14 nm fabrication process and 4.5 watt energy efficiency. The fanless design combined with its 12 inch screen means the new MacBook Air would set new standards in aesthetics.

Design & Trend picked up some rumors to report that Apple could be mulling a non-retina display model to offer a low price model that would also mean higher battery life. That apart, Apple reportedly plans on keeping the device thin by doing away with ports. Touch ID is another feature that both MacBook Air and MacBook Pro are likely to bring.

Rumors point to unveiling of Macbook Air 2015 at Apple's Worldwide Developer's Conference early June and a winter launch later. Given that Apple has unveiled products at WWDC in the past including MacBooks, MacWorld speculated about the possibility. It also posted leaked photographs of what is supposed to be the new MacBook Air.
