Apple has been exploring ways to create dedicated stores for its Apple Watch device, according to reports. The report said several upmarket Paris retailers have been building separate display cases for the smartwatch ahead of its launch in April.

If those display cases prove to be a success, Apple then might consider setting up new retail exclusively for its Apple Watch. It could also set up smaller stores inside spaces run by other retailers, in the same way that Mac computers are currently sold at Best Buy in the U.S, ReadWrite reported.

Reports obviously indicate Apple's perspective toward its smartwatch which according to company is less of a gadget and more of a high-end piece of jewelry. The base price for Apple Watch is $349 but models of higher end (i.e an 18K gold Apple Watch Edition) can cost several thousand dollars.

Setting a separate retail store for Apple Watch will help company in creating a clear distinction between the Apple Watch and the firm's mobile devices and computers.
