X-Men Apocalypse Casting Rumors and Updates: Young Night Crawler Revealed, Quicksilver to Return, Cerebro Design Leaked

X-Men filmmaker is excited to welcome Kodi Smit-McPhee in his team of mutants for the upcoming X-Men: Apocalypse. In his Instagram account on Tuesday this week, the director announced that the young actor will portray the young version of Night Crawler.

"Excited to welcome @kodismitmcphee to the cast of #XmenApocalypse as young #Nightcrawler," Singer announced this on his social media page as reported by Cinemablend.

Kodi Smit-McPhee as Night Crawler will stand alongside other members of the cast including Jennifer Lawrence, Nicholas Hoult and Michael Fassbender.

Night Crawler first appeared in X-Men 2 way back in 2003 with Alan Cumming portraying the role of the teleporter, Kurt Wagner.

Meanwhile, according to Variety, first generation mutants Professor X (who played Professor X's part) and Magneto (Ian McKellen) will not be appearing in the upcoming X-Men movie due to some plot twists as the setting of Apocalypse will be set in the 1980s.

In these years, it is to be expected that the movie will take a flashback of the character's earlier lives wherein one can see a younger Professor X(McAvoy) and Magneto (Michael Fassbender).

Another report by Cinemablend also hinted that Quicksilver (played by Peter Evans) will be returning for the X-Men Apocalypse.

The actor once answered regarding the speculation of the said comeback saying, "I think so, yes. I assume it as well, but I don't know what I'm supposed to say and not supposed to. I haven't seen a script."

Meanwhile, director Bryan singer has stirred the imagination of X-Men fans by dropping developments in the making of the Apocalypse, according to Comingsoon.

In a recent post, he was seen in a designing the Cerebro helmet while he is in workspace at home in Montreal.

X-Men is said to be released on May 27, 2016 and is written by Simon Kinberg with Mike Dougherty, Dan Harris and Kinberg.
