Hip hop icon Jay-Z is the subject of a New Jersey paternity suit where Rymir Satterthwaite, a 21-year-old aspiring rapper, is claiming the rapper is his father.

The National Enquirer say they have obtained court documents that shows Satterthwaite's claim that his mother, Wanda, had an affair with the famous rapper back in the 1990s. Satterthwaite says that Jay Z lied in court in order to avoid having to take a paternity test.

That court proceeding took place five years ago when Satterthwaite's mother, Wanda Colley, first wanted Jay Z to take a paternity test. However, a New Jersey Superior Court judge tossed that case because he determined he lacked jurisdiction.

Colley claims that Jay Z and his lawyer gave the judge false information in order to get the case tossed.

Jay Z's representative has not commented on the issue yet, while Satterthwaite tweeted Thursday: "Trying to stay positive."

Jay Z is currently married to singer Beyonce Knowles and they tied the knot in April 2008. The famous couple have a daughter Blue Ivy Carter, who was born in January 2012.
