Samsung Galaxy S6 Release Date and Rumors Update: Leaked Dimensions Suggest Extremely Thin Form-Factor

Samsung Galaxy S6 - which could be launched in the upcoming MWC - is expected to be thinner than its predecessor, Galaxy S5. According to leaks, it could be just 6.9 mm thick.

According to a report by GSM Arena, the Galaxy S6 will measure 143.3 x 70.8 x 6.9mm and might sport a metal frame as well. Galaxy S5 had the dimension of 142 x 72.5 x 8.1 mm (5.59 x 2.85 x 0.32 in).

Galaxy S6 is expected to launch along with Galaxy S Edge in Samsung's "Unpacked 2015" event on March 1 at the Mobile World Conference 2015 (MWC 2015) in Barcelona.

Apart form a sleek form factor, the Galaxy S6 might feature a 1440 x 2560 pixels screen, Exynos 7420 processor, Android 5.0 Lollipop, 20MP main camera and 5MP front snapper, and 32GB of internal memory and 3GB RAM.

Rumors suggest that the most basic version of phone might be priced at $849.

Reportedly, the Samsung Galaxy S6 will feature mobile payment and system and fingerprint scanner as well.
